WBJEE is a state-government controlled centralized test, conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board for admission to many private and governmental engineering institutions in West Bengal. Aspirants can have access to the official notification and detailed brochure for WBJEE 2019 on the official website (www.wbjeeb.in). The Common Entrance Examination has been scheduled by the Board on May 26, 2019.

  1. WBJEE is a state level entrance test that intends to enroll candidates in B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Pharma program offered at various Govt. Colleges & Universities and Self-Financed Institutes in West Bengal
  2. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB), is the central body responsible for managing the entrance test and subsequent admission procedure

Guidelines to Fill WBJEE Online Application

Stats: Out of the 1,25,075 engineering aspirants registered for WBJEE 2019, 50,030 candidates or 40% are from outside the state. In 2017, around 36% of 1,17,544 applicants were from outside West Bengal.

WBJEE Application Form Correction

Fact: No modification can be made in the primary registration data such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth and gender. This is the last chance to make corrections in the application form. If a candidate sends a direct request to the board’s office for WBJEE form correction, it will be rejected.

Note: WBJEE admit card should not be mutilated/ distorted/ soiled even by accident. Duplicate admit cards can be generated till April 22, 2019, with additional fee payment of INR 500.

Recommended Books for WBJEE 2019

There are plenty of well-known refresher books for WBJEE available in the market. However, there is a word of caution for all the aspirants. The syllabus for WBJEE is entirely based on the class 11th and 12th curriculum of West Bengal State Board. Therefore, the textbooks prescribed in the school curriculum are the primary sources of reference and preparation.

  1. There is no prior requirement of West Bengal domicile status to apply for WBJEE 2019. Candidates only need to produce domicile certificate in order to apply for government participating institutes in case of claiming reserved category seats
  2. Candidates need to secure a minimum of 45% in 10+2 qualifying examination. The lower age limit is 17 years as on December 31, 2019

    4. A Scanned copy of the photograph and signature must be uploaded as per the specifications are given by WBJEEB for online application.
    5. If any candidate receives any SMS/email regarding a discrepancy in the application form, he must take corrective action immediately within one day.
    6. It is advisable not to wait for the last day to make fee payment in order to avoid payment failure by Bank or EPG.
    7. As no duplicate copies are provided later, confirmation must be preserved carefully.
