The National Science Olympiad (NSO), organized by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), is a yearly competitive exam conducted for school students. The exam aims at cultivating scientific reasoning and logical ability among the students through a rigorous test and helps them know where they stand academically within the school, city, zonal and international level.

Students are given a Student Performance Report (SPR) to analyze the strong and weak areas and detailed performance comparison at School, City, Zonal and International level

The primary aim of the Science Olympiad Foundation is to instill scientific curiosity and vigor in young students through competitive exams.

NSO Eligibility

Students of classes 1-12 are eligible to appear in the examination.

NSO Registration

  1. Fill the Registration form sent to school registered with Science Olympiad Foundation
  2. Schools not registered may also request for prospectus by sending an e-mail at info@sofworld.org/phone-call/fax-0124-4951200.
  3. A minimum of 10 students needs to be registered from each school for feasibility reasons
  4. A nominal fee for participation is charged from each student
  5. Completed forms are to be sent by the school to SOF before the due date

Roll Number

  1. The roll number is generated by the school’s coordinating teacher as per the guidelines
  2. Before the due date of submission of forms, a copy of these roll numbers along with the Students’ Registration Sheet (SRS) and School Registration Form (SRF) must be sent to the Foundation’s office
