NEET is the National Eligibility Entrance Test is organized by NTA for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in medical and dental colleges approved by the Medical Council and the Dental Council of India. The NEET 2020 Counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). MCC conducts a centralized online medical counseling for candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate medicine and health sciences courses offered in the country through NEET scores. The counselling conducted by MCC is for the all India quota seats/ institutional quota/ domicile (internal candidates) of central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), (wards of ESIC insured persons) seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune (AFMC) for the undergraduate session. However, state-level counseling will be organized by respective state authorities. Candidates who will qualify NEET 2020 will be able to participate in the exam counseling for the seat allotment and final admission process.
The NEET 2020 exam will be conducted in the first week of May and the Counselling will begin in June 2020. The counseling will be conducted in an online mode. Central counseling will be conducted in two rounds and State counseling will be conducted in three rounds.
The Counselling of NEET 2020 will be conducted to fill the 15% All India Quota Seats, 85% seats will be filled through state counseling. Candidates can change their choice preferences and lock seats again for other rounds.

Step 1: Registration
Candidates must register on the official website of MCC and enter the requested details to generate the Registration slip.
Step 2: Submission of Choice & Locking
Candidates must fill out the choice of courses and colleges as per their preferences and click on ‘Save’ button to Lock their preferences.
Step 3: Seat Allotment Result
The Seat allotment results are declared within a few days of counseling and candidate receives information via SMS or Email.
Step 4: Modify & Lock Seat Choices
If a candidate is dissatisfied with the seat allotment, he/she will be able to modify and lock his/her choices on the MCC official website.
Step 5: Reporting to Allotted College
Candidates must report to the allotted colleges and pay the initial fee to confirm their seats and complete admission process.
Step 6: Second Round of Counseling
If a candidate is still not satisfied with the allotted seats in round 1, they can proceed for the second round of counseling.

Mop Up Round will be conducted to fill the seats that remain vacant after 1st and 2nd rounds of counseling for NEET UG.
All those candidates who are not able to get seats in either of the two rounds will be eligible to participate in the mop-up round of NEET Counselling 2020.
Mop up counseling in NEET 2020 will be provided by states against reverted seats from All India 15% Quota.
All India Quota Seats Counseling: Counseling is conducted in two rounds by DGHS for 15% AIQ MBBS/BDS seats. After the second round, the remaining seats are transferred to the states.
State Quota Counseling: The seats are open to candidates holding the domicile of the states only. The respective state counseling authorities conduct counseling in two to three rounds for 85% state quota seats followed by a Mop-Up round.
Deemed/Central Universities Counseling: All seats in central and deemed universities will be open to all the candidates who will qualify NEET 2020. Two rounds of counseling are conducted by DGHS followed by a mop-up round.
AFMC and IP Wards for ESIC counseling: DGHS conducts counseling for MBBS/BDS seats in AFMC, Pune and Insured Person (IP) wards in ESIC colleges.
Private College Counseling: All candidates who will qualify NEET 2020 can apply for the seats in private medical and dental colleges throughout the country, irrespective of their domicile or state of residence. The same counseling authority will be responsible for conducting counseling for state quota seats. Depending upon the vacancies available in the colleges, the counseling might be conducted in three to four rounds followed by the mop-up round.
