NCO 2019-20 Preparation Tips, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern, Fee, Basicfirst - eLearning App

National Cyber Olympiad Exam

NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) conducted by SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation) is one of the most prestigious talent search exams in Asia. It aims at identifying and nurturing talent among the students within the school, city, zonal and international level.

NCO Exam focuses on mental ability, logical & analytical reasoning.

Students are provided with a Student Performance Report (SPR) The SPR analyses the strong and weak areas of the student and also gives a detailed performance comparison of the student with other students at School, City, Zonal and International level.

Eligibility

All students from class I - XII are eligible to apply.

Registration

  1. The students who apply for the scholarship should first fill the registration form sent to the registered school

  2. Non registered school can also request for a registration form at info@sofworld.org

  3. The filled forms are to be sent to SOF by the school before the due date of submission of forms.

Hall Ticket

  1. The roll number is generated by the coordinating teacher as per the guidelines

  2. Copy of roll number should be sent to the Foundation’s office along with the Students Registration Sheet (SRS) and School Registration Form (SRF)

Registration Fee

Schools need to pay a registration fee of Rs 125* (including 18% GST) per student / Olympiad towards the cost of the examination. Schools may charge an additional Rs 25** per student towards the honorarium of incharge, remuneration to teachers, and other expenses.

The Fee is exempted for students suffering from any major physical disability, or an Indian student whose parent was martyred during defence operations.

Exam Pattern

  1. NCO exam is conducted during school hours in the respective school

  2. The exam is conducted on two dates. Schools may select a date for conducting the NCO as per its convenience

  3. The medium of paper is in English with an objective test questions

  4. The paper comprised of 35 multiple choice questions for class 2 to class 4 and 50 questions from class 5 to class 12

  5. The question paper is divided into three sections with Section-1 as Logical Reasoning, Section-2 as Computers & IT and Section-3 as Achievers Section

  6. The duration of examination is 60 minutes

Date of Commencement of Exam is 20th December 2019 and 31st January 2020.
