As quoted by Daniel Cormier “You don’t get to the levels of the sport without having the basics in order”. As we all know we can’t solve any question if the concept involving it is not clear in our mind, for the concept to be clear the basics should be clear.
Undoubtedly, Board exams and competitive exams are not some kinds of a class test or like any other paper, these exams are taken very seriously in India as they are considered as the fate-deciding factors in students’ life nowadays. This leads to building pressure on the student who has to appear for the exam making them very anxieties and nervous.
Need or necessity – basics are the building blocks!
Under the tremendous pressure of securing good percentage in board exams and getting admission in a prestigious college for graduation often leads to misconception among the students that if they solve all the high-end competitive examination book they will be able to secure good percentage and get a seat in a good college as well but when they attempt the board exams they realize that are not able to solve even basic questions present in board exams as their basics are not strong. A lot of reference books or competitive books available in the market are full of concise notes which somehow confuse and deviate students from the targets.
That reminds me the question: If everyone has to just read high-level competitive books and reference books then why has CBSE prescribed NCERT books in our syllabus?
NCERT books are prescribed by CBSE as they are providing the basic knowledge of every topic present in our syllabus. NCERT books are the foundation of all our concepts they are just like the bricks, as bricks are the foundation of any building. NCERT books are not just theory books they are filled with lots of examples problems and unsolved exercises for students. The solutions of these NCERT problems are easily available on the internet in the forms of single questions or in forms of pdf. Whenever the student feel like they are not able to solve the question they can easily refer to the solution of that question.
Basics are the core fundamental for Child’s Development!
