BITSAT is one of the top engineering entrances conducted in India by The Birla Institute of Technology and Science. The scores of BITSAT decide the admissions into any of the BITSAT campuses. (BITS Pilani, Hyderabad, and Goa)
BITSAT entrance exam is an exam where time management and presence of mind is given more significance than a deep knowledge of the subject. Aspirants can easily crack the exam with a basic level of conceptual understanding.
The syllabus of BITSAT is set as per the NCERT Class 12 syllabus. So, read NCERT textbooks first before moving on to any other reference book. Four major subjects of BITSAT 2020 will cover Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning.
Candidates must know the syllabus, exam pattern and important topics before they start their preparation to score the desired marks in the BITSAT entrance examination. Conceptual clarity is very important in each of the subjects as most of the questions asked in the exam are based on basic concepts. Start with the theory and once you complete the theory part, move on to the numerical problem.
Physics is one of the toughest subjects. However, with the right practice, you can easily master the concepts. While preparing for Physics, make sure all the formulas are at the tip of your fingers.
Stick to the NCERT for Chemistry as topics are beautifully explained for the subject. The questions in BITS come from the syllabus of Class 11 and Class 12. So, complete your NCERT textbooks first before referring to any other book.
Mathematics is all about practice. The more you practice, the more perfect you get in the subject. It is one of the scoring subjects. If your concepts and basics are clear in Mathematics, it can easily raise your overall score.
Note down all the important formulae in a notebook. Try to read them once a day or before going to bed. After working sufficiently on all the three domains, work harder on the subject you are more confident in. Devote morning time to tough subject and evening time to easy subjects.
Focus on your strong concepts first to gain confidence. Solve JEE/BITSAT practice questions once you finish your chapter. Improving your speed is very important In BITSAT as you know there will be 150 questions that need to be answered in 3 hours.
Speed and accuracy are the two major requirements to crack any exam. Practicing mock tests and sample papers elevate your performance in the exam. This will help in determining your strengths and weaknesses. Ensure you revise your strengths and practice your weaker topics every day to be successful in the exam.
Also, practice previous years’ question papers to understand the pattern of the exam, the number of questions in each section, the type of questions asked. Take these practice tests regularly to improve your stamina for better test-taking.
