Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education

The Board of Secondary Education of Andhra Pradesh (Directorate of Government Examinations) was established in the year 1953. It is a self-governing body under the Andhra Pradesh’s Department of Education. This board regulates education in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The board conducts examination for mainly class X, XI, and XII.

  2. Prescribe the syllabus
  3. Plan and organize examination
  4. Grant recognition to various government and private schools
  5. Provides support, direction, and leadership to all secondary educational institutes

Syllabus for Andhra Board class 10

The Board follows the CCE exam pattern; consisting of summative and formative tests. All the schools affiliated by the Andhra Board government are required to follow the CCE pattern. According to the new exam pattern, class X annual exams will be conducted for a total of 80 marks; 40 marks for written exam and 20 marks for the internal assessment.
